A Word for SA from John 8

God is a God of covenant. He honors His Word and has placed His Word above Himself. This is an absolute truth. However, I want to dig deeper into this truth a little. Bear with me.

God said that we must kill animals to make atonement for our sins. He made it law. However, we all know that this word (as the letter) has been replaced by the living Word, Christ. Even though God’s word always stands, even into eternity, I think we can all agree that there are some words that God has spoken that are now replaced by a new word, or there is a greater or higher word which He has spoken that now replaces the previous word. In other words, some of the things God said was only relevant to a specific time or situation. Context is key! The letter of the Word in the Bible can all still be relevant and alive as Holy Spirit breathes revelation from it into our hearts.

This, however, leaves us with room for error should we not know our God, nor the Scriptures.

I started this writing by stating that God is a God of covenant. He has a covenant with Israel which to some degree still stands in terms of their role in the end times. The finished work of the cross however did bring a change to that covenant He has with Israel. They too can now only receive Salvation through faith and by Grace alone in our Lord Jesus Christ, just like the gentiles. The law cannot save any of us! The same with the Afrikaner and American and whoever else made a covenant with God. There are higher truths if you will that take priority. If you have zero faith in Jesus, your bloodline or nationality means nothing. Only Jesus saves. Now under this New Covenant there is room for the other covenants to function to the full degree it was meant to. All other covenants are subjected to the covenant of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This topic is a discussion that lots more can be said about, but I shared all this to just make one point:

We often put our trust in our bloodline as Afrikaners, or we often believe that God will be on our side no matter what. In John 8 Jesus is speaking to the descendants of Abraham, the sons of promise. As Christians we too believe we are the sons of Abraham. These people in John 8 put their trust in the fact that their lineage makes them righteous or entitled. Jesus rebukes them for their hearts. The very words that they trusted (even though those words were spoken by God) did not abide in their hearts and they had no time in the Presence to receive revelation. The words didn’t profit them nor gave them the transformation and life it was supposed to. The words would have blessed them so much more if their hearts were circumcised by the Word. If we harden our hearts and do not allow the Word of God to abide in our hearts, we open ourselves up to the anti-Christ (religious) spirits to function in and through us. Jesus even says we made the devil our father!

We need God, our true and loving Father, to Father us through His Word. May we know Him and allow His Word to find a home within us. May we see and hear from our Father so that we can reveal His heart to the world.

South Africa is a land full of promises from God. Only when God’s Word enter our hearts, I believe, will He manifest His Word. He has no problem to extend His plans for another generation or two. Will we be the generation that takes the Word of God to heart!?

There is a prophecy that has been uttered for at least 150 years. The prophecy in short says that God will release His revival fire from the south of Africa north across the continent and into the nations. Why 150 years? Is it because we haven’t allowed the Word to truly take heart in us? I don’t know, but I think it is a question we should consider without condemnation and so, but with the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

Historically, the Afrikaner was commissioned to spread the Gospel into Africa moving from south to north. They were multi-cultural people, from many European countries as well as many different African tribes and even Indians. The movement came to an end at large when the Afrikaner decided to nationalise instead of evangelise (documented historical fact). God on the other hand is not finished with Africa and His call on the continent. There is a revival of this movement necessary and African missionaries are already impacting Europe with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to state this very clearly; this movement is not about ANY race or color. It is about the Gospel for all! So, with this in mind, let’s look at the mentioned history.

The Afrikaner played a big role in pioneering the Gospel in Africa. I believe we need to pray for God to revive the Afrikaner again which might just unlock the prophecies for Africa for us all. The problem is that the Afrikaner is divided greatly, all under the banner of Christianity. Many believe they are Christian because they got christened as a baby. Many believe they are saved because they are actually a lost tribe of Israel, and all Israelites are saved. There are more examples but hopefully you get the point. Jesus said the words in Matthew 6:23; If the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Meaning there is nothing more dangerous than people living in their own self-righteousness. The context for the verse is also money which is another idol the Afrikaner enjoys (the love of money).

To summarise the last point, as an Afrikaner, I’m asking us as the body of Christ to pray for the Afrikaner. We have a covenant and history with God that is so special and supernatural. Our ancestors were men and women of faith who walked with God. Pray for us to be sons of repentance who will leave our self-righteousness behind and follow Christ once again. For the exclusive nature of nationalism to be replaced with the unity and love of the Gospel. Apartheid and the ANC regime are all just fruits of the Afrikaner turning their back on God. The Afrikaner are scattered all around the globe, living in fear and only for themselves. But God! God is faithful and just. His Word will come to pass. Let our hearts and our actions say yes to Jesus. Let us go as He sends us. Let His love compels us forward as we share the Gospel to all and manifest God’s Kingdom wherever we go. May the keys for revival be released in this generation in Jesus Name!

The Afrikaner needs to rediscover their identity and calling in Christ and pick up the anointing where we lost it. There is a great division happening in the NG Church as they played a huge role in nationalising the country and promoting politics instead of the Gospel. I’m not casting blame, but I am saying that as the people in these churches (the largest denomination in SA) start repenting and turning to God, I believe we will see a great move of God for all. And is this not what we all desire and need!?

Prayer, true repentance, and walking in obedience!

May this word bless you and challenge you as it did to me.

God bless.

Martin

A RADICAL SHIFT IS COMING FROM CONSUMER CHRISTIANITY TO DISCIPLESHIP CHRISTIANITY

A RADICAL SHIFT IS COMING FROM CONSUMER CHRISTIANITY TO DISCIPLESHIP CHRISTIANITY

COME AND DIE - NOT COME AND SHOP

Individual transformation to become more like Christ primarily takes place through genuine biblical discipleship.

Our problem in much of the church in the West is, that we have produced primarily "consumers" through our attractional church growth methodologies as opposed to "disciples."

Jesus invites us to "come and die" - to pick up our "cross" and follow him. By removing that incredibly important theological element to the equation of discipleship, we invite people to Walmart/Shopping Mall Christianity to come and "shop."

We have produced in the West more consumers than genuine disciples.

But there is an apostolic reformation that is coming to deal with what has become "toxic" Christianity in many religious circles through the initiation of fresh Jesus Movements designed and empowered by the Spirit of God to get us back on track to biblical discipleship rooted into true Christology that can bring the radical transformation we see in the NT Scriptures.

The apostolic is all about "sentness."

It originates with God the Father who is the missionary God - the sending God who sends His Son into the earth to become like us - so we can ultimately become like Him.

Then when He completes His mission, He and the Father send the Spirit - the Missionary/Apostolic Spirit who empowers disciples to carry on the Kingdom mission of Jesus.

Jesus told His disciples that as the Father sent Him - in the same manner - He would send them. Being apostolic begins with the understanding that we are sent ones.

We must be incarnational - living epistles in culture - Jesus disciples in culture, and missional - sent ones - realizing we are ambassadors for Christ sent to represent Jesus and His Kingdom.

Consumer Christianity is growing many big mega churches in America, but definitely not changing and transforming culture or our nation.

A radical reformation through strategic Spirit empowered Jesus Movements is coming to shift things back toward biblical Christianity which is rooted in biblical discipleship - making disciples who make disciples who make disciples who make disciples......

Change is coming - many will embrace it, while many reject it. The church is entering a new apostolic era.

This is beyond a new season. It is a new apostolic era. The Spirit is raising up a "new breed" that will not initialy be popular, but will actually be persecuted, because they are willing to put "Protest" back into "Protestant."

A shift from Consumer Christianity to Discipleship Christianity is coming.

This is not saying there is not room for attractional evangelism. But it is saying there is a major shift coming to incarnational evangelism through true disciples of Jesus who will again change the world.

Is God saying something to South Africa through the Rugby World Cup of 2023?

Is God saying something to South Africa through the Rugby World Cup of 2023?

What is the prophetic meaning of 111?

Is God speaking to us through the RWC2023?

We beat France by 1 point.

We beat England by 1 point.

We won World Cup by 1 point. That's 111 RIGHT?

FRANCE SCORE WAS 29-28

ENGLAND SCORE WAS 16- 15

NEW ZEALAND SCORE WAS 12-11

THIS ADDS UP TO 111?

THE REFEREE STOOD IN HIS 111th GAME.

The numeric value of the word Springbok is 111

This was a message that did the rounds not to long after the Springboks beat New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup final of 2023. God speaks in many ways to His children, and it is up to us to have ears that hear. He never has to speak in the same way to us. When our hearts are connected to His, we will quickly learn that our God is not silent after all. He speaks to us all the time in different ways.

Numbers in the Bible also play a very significant role in the Word and very often contains special prophetic messages hidden for those hungry enough to listen. Throughout the duration of the rugby world cup 2023 I had a sense that God is involved, and He is going to use this world cup for His glory. I even felt a sense that it was God’s plan for SA to win.

Summary thought.

Just in a general sense I believe God gave South Africa a clear prophetic message. Many of these games can be debated on a few decisions that could have gone either way, or the other team was the better team on the night, but somehow the Boks managed to come out on top, just! South Africa has been on God’s heart for many years now and He has released Word over our nation that still has to come to pass. One such Word is that a very Powerful move of God will start in the south of Africa and then move north into the rest of the continent and nations; just to put it in short. The nations will come to South Africa to see what the living God is doing!

But unfortunately, if you look at our country now, unemployment is as high maybe as it has ever been; crime is at an all-time high with more murders happening in South Africa in a day than in a war zone like the Russia/Ukraine war; corruption is the norm from top to bottom and cripples the economy; Our government took Israel to court and publicly aligned itself with terrorists and Islam. This list can go on and on and on.

In short, we DO NOT deserve the mercy and goodness of God in this nation. BUT GOD! God is a great Father and He is always true to His Word. The message in short, I believe is that God will come through for South Africa because of Him! No man will take the glory. The battle might be tight and hard, but when God spoke it, nothing and no one can stop Him.

Do not lose hope!

Do not back down!

Keep the faith!

Declare God’s Word!

Jesus will be glorified in South Africa!

What does 111 represent in the Bible?

The word "father," usually written in the New Testament as a reference to God the Father, is recorded 111 times in John's gospel. Interestingly, it is also found 11 times in the book of Acts. To conclude, this number represents leadership, independence, spiritual energy, awakening, intuition, and uniqueness.

111 can also be the combination of numbers.

100 + 11

·       100:    Abundant return

·       11:      Inner conflict, Rebellion, Faithfulness, Occultation, Fertilisation.

·

We will reap what we have sown. So it can be God saying that we will now face what we have sown in the past; those who have sown in the flesh and lived entirely for themselves, will reap abundantly in inner conflict, witchcraft etc. But to those who have been faithful to God, God will fertilise them so that He can birth a fresh move of God through them.

·       What does this mean for SA? The gap between life and death will become clearer. The church will grow stronger and more glorious as the wicked will suffer from their actions in the hope that they too shall repent.

110 + 1

·      110:    It’s the number of Eldaah, the last son of Midian which means God has called or to know God. It can also mean a long life.

·           1:       Unity, Beginning, Uniqueness, Single-mindedness, Independence, Evil one.

·

What I got from this is that God is releasing into His church the “single-mindedness” to only have eyes for Him. All distractions are to be removed so that we can behold Him. We will also enjoy a deeper union and fellowship with our Creator and the body of Christ.

·       God is making Himself known to those who want to truly know Him.

·       This union will result in the church to awake to her true calling and step into it.

·       There will be shifts in this season with regards to direction that will reposition God’s people to walk in their divine calling with great authority.

·     There is also an element of healing that I sense as I type this. Signs and wonders will follow the sons of God walking in their calling. It will be witnessed more and more as Jesus wants to make Himself known to the lost.

·    Whatever the details in the call, it will resonate to bring in a great harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God.

Conclusion

In short, I can conclude that God is working in South Africa. Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, let them see and listen to the Spirit of God. Those who walk in the flesh, will reap in the flesh. God’s church is about to reconcile, heal, unite, forgive, repent, rise in Power and walk like Jesus have walked.

This is a crucial time for South Africa. Will we turn to God? The world cup almost became a distant memory and I have delayed more and more to type this word. Then God reminded me about His seriousness by letting South African middleweight MMA fighter, Drikus Du Plessis, win the world title in his division also with one point. God is awake and faithful to His Word and covenant with South Africa.

The great African awakening has begun!

What did God say to you? Please feel free to share with us. These are only a few thoughts on the message that we felt God is sharing with us for our country. Holy Spirit speaks to all of us so when you share your piece of the puzzle, we get a clearer picture of God’s message for us.

Below are some Scriptures we worked through regarding the number 111. They too contain powerful encouraging words from our Father. Be blessed!

Scriptures:

Exodus 11:1

11 And the Lord said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will surely drive you out of here altogether.

  • ·       God will free South Africa from the demonic government and stronholds!

Joshua 1:11

11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’”

·       The church must prepare and be ready for when God wants to move.

·       How are we preparing for God’s promises?

·     Three days before we move also speaks about our new creation life in Christ. Jesus was three days in the grave and then He resurrected. We died with Him on the cross so that we can also be resurrected with Him in Glory! (Romans6:4)

2 Samuel 11:1

11 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.

·       We cannot be silent anymore! We need to engage in battle! Those who do not engage in the battle will fall into temptation!

1 Kings 11:1

But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites

·       History tells us that this was the fall of Israel. We cannot have idols in our lives anymore! May God be our first love again and deliver us from all unrighteousness in Jesus Name!

·   May Jesus also deliver us from all un-Godly ties/covenants/ etc that tries to maintain worldly peace through compromise. We need to confront all lying demon spirits and know that true peace can only be found in Christ.

2 Chronicles 1:11

11 Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honour or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—

·      This was Solomons greatest victory! The Spirit of Wisdom (Proverbs 8 amongst others) was what helped Solomon to bring God’s Kingdom/Government into his nation. South Africa, we will desperately need God’s Wisdom to help us in this nation!

·    Wisdom only comes when our hearts are aligned to the will of God, and not our own agendas, no matter how good they seem. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom!

Psalm 111

Praise to God for His Faithfulness and Justice

111 Praise the Lord!

I will praise the Lord with my whole heart,
In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

·       We need to praise Jesus corporately as a family.

The works of the Lord are great,
Studied by all who have pleasure in them.

·       Testify to each other on what the Lord has done for us.

His work is honorable and glorious,
And His righteousness endures forever.
He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

·       Set up altars of testimony to the Lord. Let no one forget, even the generations to come, on what the Lord has done for us.

He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
He has declared to His people the power of His works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.

The works of His hands are verity and justice;
All His precepts are sure.
They stand fast forever and ever,
And are done in truth and uprightness.
He has sent redemption to His people;
He has commanded His covenant forever:
Holy and awesome is His name.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.

·       There are too many keys and truths in this chapter to mention here!

·       In short, praise the Lord South Africa! He is worthy!

·       Jesus is faithful!

 Isaiah 11:1

11 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

·       I believe we will walk in greater revelation of the Spirits of God in this time. I mentioned Wisdom just now. There’s more! Who will seek?

Jeremiah 1:11-12

11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?”

And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”

12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

·       God is waiting for us! We must not wait for Him; we need to prepare the Way for our King!

·       Those who truly have a personal relationship with Jesus will hear from Him first and see the times of the seasons in what God is busy establishing in our midst.

Mark 1:11

11 Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

·       Are we secure in our identity as sons of God?

Luke 11:1

11 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

·       Holy Spirit is teaching us to pray and intercede like Jesus in this season for our nation and His people.

·       Do we have a teachable spirit in order for Holy Spirit to teach us?

John 1:11

11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

·       This is so deep and scary! Lord, please deliver us from the religious spirits!

·       Lord, may we not be offended by you when you pour out Your Spirit in our midst!

·       May we truly know Jesus and not only know about Him. Big difference!

·       Sanctify our hearts to be open to You Jesus.

Romans 1:11

11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established—

·       Discipleship and impartation are vital in this season.

·       Disciples of Jesus, not organizations!

·    If God is focusing on the foundational truths in His Word in this time (Hebrews 6:1-2), does it not mean He wants to build something?

·       How solid is the foundation of the church in South Africa?

Ephesians 1:11

11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

·       God is faithful to His covenant with us. What is that covenant? (Hebrews 8:7 – 13).

  • ·       What is the Spiritual inheritance God has for South Africa? Do we even know!? Have we prayed into it?
  • ·       Inheritance is a gift, not a reward…
  • ·          Are we truly positioned in Christ? Not theologically, but in reality?
  • ·       God’s will or man’s will for South Africa? We as the church must decide.
  • ·       Have we consulted with and obeyed the council in Heaven regarding God’s will for us?
  • ·       All these are for those who seek more and are willing to pray into these keys. Seek, and you WILL find…

2 Thessalonians 1:11

11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,

·     We need to surrender to Jesus and present ourselves as living sacrifices before Him. The fire baptism is necessary to purify and cleanse us.

·       We need to walk in Godly character at all times!

·       Can God enjoy the fruit of the church in South Africa (Fruits of the Spirit), or are we rotten (fruits of the flesh)?

Hebrews 11:1

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  • ·       Do we believe God’s Word above the news and realities of our circumstances?
  • ·       Walk by faith, not by sight!

2 Peter 1:11

11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

·       God will open doors for us in this season in order to move, even when we have come to a dead end!

3 John 11

11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

·       Walk in the Spirit, and do not engage in warfare in the flesh.

Revelation 1:11

11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

·       God is speaking to His church in this time with prophetic messages.

·    Be careful of the false messengers! Test every message with the Word of God and Holy Spirit.

·       He is unveiling us in this time so that we can behold Him. In other words, He is removing all the lies that we believe about who Jesus truly is.

·       There are many images and opinions on who Jesus is or was. But there is only one Christ. He is not just a man or prophet or so. He is not a baby in a merger anymore. He is not on the cross nor is He in the grave. Jesus is God Almighty and we will know Him as the resurrected King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Revelation 11:1

11 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

·    God is judging His church in this time. This is a good judgement as it delivers us from everything that is not us in Him, to put it briefly. Repentance!

·       We are the temple of God as He abides in us. Our lives will be measured. John 15 says we will be cut! Either pruned as a reward of having fruit, or for all the areas in our lives where we live in the flesh and need a fresh fire baptism. He will remove our transgressions and iniquities from us.

·    The altar I believe speaks about our works. Are we Kingdom of God builders or are we hiding our talents and responsibilities? Are we building God’s Kingdom or our own?

·   “Those who worship there” for me speaks on the body of Christ. Are we united and engaged as being part of one body, or are we doing our own thing? This is more a corporate judgment. Worship is way more than the slow songs on a Sunday! Worship is sacrifice and a lifestyle. Everything we do is worship to something or someone. I pray it is only Jesus! Do all things unto the Lord.

·   "Those who worship there” can also indicate towards our impact in our communities or places of influence. Are we an ambassador for Jesus in every area of our lives?
