Prophetic Word for August 2017

Watch for the next 50 days to be full of a lot of changes. Between now and the end of Rosh Hashanah (September 21–22), which is the Jewish New Year, God is aligning you for what is coming in the new year. You will see situations and circumstances suddenly turn around in unusual and unexpected ways. The spiritual atmosphere is changing and what was once difficult will become easier.

I heard the Lord say, “What looks like a loss will become your gain. Be sure to wait and watch as new doors and opportunities begin to open for you.”

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 NIV


What would have taken many people a lifetime to achieve will be accomplished in a short time. God is going to start moving radically in your life over the next few months. Stay focused, watch and pray.

Get ready to be stretched

Things are being brought to the surface for the purpose of strengthening you so that you can cross into the new season at hand. God is doing things outside of your comfort zone that may stretch your understanding.
We are being challenged right now to move into new levels of understanding. A new wave of revelation is being released that will help us progress into more effectiveness. It will require us to let go of some current beliefs and actions that are no longer relevant for today.

Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Isaiah 54:2 NIV

Trials will bring advancement

It will be important to not resist or run from the trials and testing that are coming. Testing is not a bad thing and God is going to use it to prepare you for the advancements and promotions that will be happening over the next few months.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2–4 NIV
We are in a time of the Lord’s fire coming to test our works.
… their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:13–14 NIV

Words of life required

New power and authority are coming upon your words. You will need to be careful what you say, because your words can be spiritual life or death. They can build up and tear down—especially in the season we are now entering.
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.
When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.

Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” Matthew 21:19–21 NIV
Jesus said that our words could uproot obstacles as well as cause things to wither. It is interesting that He said, “May you never bear fruit again!”… And also, “[You can] do what was done to the fig tree.”

We need to be very careful that we are not speaking withering words over ourselves or others. We need to speak fruitful words and have fruitful thoughts. When we speak negative things, it can cause our spiritual and creative lives to wither and no longer bear fruit.
God showed me that this is the condition of many people today. They have spoken over themselves, or have been spoken over by someone else, which has caused their gifts and spiritual fruit to dry up.
God is now giving us an opportunity to reverse this. We need to recognize areas of our lives that once flourished but are now withering. We can speak over these areas with prayers like, “Be fruitful and no longer wither!”

Getting greater authority

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Note that just before Jesus withered the fig tree and talked about spiritual authority, He cleansed the temple and drove out anything that was not of the Lord (Matthew 21:12–13). He then went on to heal the blind and the lame.
We need to cleanse our temples. We can do this by getting inner healing and repenting from anything that is contrary to God’s Word. This will allow us to open up spiritual blindness and get healed of being spiritually lame, or not being able to walk in our destiny.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Mathew 21:22 NIV

As we take care of these things, we will enter into a place of greater authority in prayer. The next 50 days is going to be an amazing time that will align us with God’s destiny. Do not be discouraged if it does not line up exactly on the calendar. God is full of grace and we can step into His power for our lives at any point.

Be encouraged and get ready to cross over into a new season!

Zambia, Malawi Outreach August, September 2017

We had an amazing time seeking the Lord in the Garden Route and the Lord pressed it on our hearts to visit Zambia and Malawi. Long story short; we are leaving for Zambia on the 14th of August! This will be our first outreach as a married couple and we are beyond excitement!

 

Our first week will be in the bush about 60km south of Maamba. Here we will join our friends in their annual national conference and minister to a few thousand people and impart the vision for the ministry for the next year.

 

The second week we will join a team from America in Lusaka to minister to the youth. Many youngsters from various denominations are coming together to worship and fellowship in His Presence! The ministry is called Young Lions Arise and we will minister their identity in Christ to them. Of all the nations in the world, the African countries grasps this concept of young lions arise the best! It is also because of these conferences with the youth that the many villages got reached early 2016. The youth reached over half a million people during this movement with the Gospel! Now we will ignite the flame again in Jesus Name in Lusaka!

Hereafter we are planning to depart to Malawi where we will partner with a team from Kingdom Family 24 from Pretoria (our congregation) to minister at an encounter camp to the leaders and churches. We will have them for three days, away from their comfort zones, and teach them on the Fathers heart, the Cross and Holy Spirit. We are trusting God for deliverance, healing and a deeper love for Jesus! Equipping the people for the work of the ministry! After the three days we will visit a few churches to minister with the Malawian pastors.

We are truly excited about what the Lord has got planned for these outreaches! We are firm believers in the body of Christ and that we all have our role to play in the Kingdom. Please pray about it (but really pray!) and ask Holy Spirit to guide you in how you can be involved in building His Kingdom. For this outreach, you can pray with us during our time away as we will again send daily messages (if the signal allows it!) to keep you posted as the miracles happen! South Africa is at a turning point where we can go either down, or revival will break out. 22 April 2017 more than a million people gathered together near the center of our country on a farm near Bloemfontein to pray, repent and seek the Lord. The church (body of Christ) drew a line in the sand and declared into the heavens that enough is enough! After this event many prayer initiatives arose and one can feel hope arising in the people all around our nation. People are praying more and in my own life God has really placed it on my heart to pray more intercessory prayers. I am aware of a few of these prayer initiatives that arose. The one is where we pray 3 times a day for 21 days like Daniel did. On the second day of this prayer journey, I believe I received this revelation from the Lord.

Firstly they kept mentioning the 70 years that Jeremiah prophesied over Israel as the time they would be in captivity in Babylon. Almost everywhere else I read, I saw the writers mentioning these 70 years. My wife and I are on a bit of a sabbatical so we have some spare time to press in and read a lot! Daniel knew Jeremiah's prophesy and he knew the time was ready for the Word of the Lord to come into fulfillment and he prayed accordingly. When we pray we need to know where we are on "God's timeline"  and then pray according to His will and purposes. When we pray God's will, He always responds with a big yes and amen! I looked up what the number 70 means in the prophetic dream dictionary from Martin van der Merwe:

• ·         Descendant - A descendant of Israel, number of Jerusalem, an elder (Ex 15; Deut 10:22; Ex 24:1,9; Num 11:16,24)

• ·         Perfect spiritual order - It can signify perfect spiritual order. Someone who is prepared to risk all in the destruction of idolatry and carrying it out with spiritual power and significance (a son of Gideon) (Judg 8:30; Judg 9:2)

• ·         Lifetime - A lifetime (Dan 9:24; Ps90:10)

• ·         Accepted offer - A complete and accepted offering (2 Chron 29:32, Num 7:13)

• ·         Apostolic office - Can symbolize a call to an apostolic office, prior to increase (Luk 10:1,17)

• ·         Idolatrous elders - Can point to idolatrous elders (Ez 8:11)

• ·         Trial - A period of captivity (Jer 25:11), of trial and mourning (Gen 50:3; Is 23:15,17; Jer 25:11; Dan 9:2; Zech1:12; Zech 7:5)

• ·         Ill treatment - Ill treatment of leaders (Judg 1:7)

Then two verses in the Bible also were "highlighted" to me (I read from The Passion Translation)

• ·         Proverbs 20:17 - What you obtain dishonestly may seem sweet at first, but sooner or later you'll live to regret it (The bread of falsehood may taste sweet at first, but afterward you'll have a mouth full of gravel)

• ·         Proverbs 20:18 - If you solicit good advice, then your plans will succeed. So don't charge into battle without wisdom, for wars are won by skillful strategy.

Proverbs 2017 and 2018! Seven is the number for perfection and eight is the number for new beginnings! I also know that during 2018, Israel celebrates their 70th year of being a country again as they received independency in 1948.  I also searched on the internet for what else happened in 1948. I found that in 1948 (May 26) we, South Africa, had an election that changed this country! The government party that won the election was the people who implemented the "Apartheid" system in South Africa. This was very interesting to me! Apartheid is a well known word and everybody around the world is make to believe just how evil the Apartheid government was in South Africa. And I agree! Apartheid was bad! But I also believe that Apartheid has not ended in South Africa. Just because it isn't on paper, doesn't mean it doesn't exists! I believe we are in reverse Apartheid. The new government, especially the current one and other political parties in our parliament, still blame the Apartheid government for what happened and why the poor people are still poor. They fail to mention the extreme riches they all received (not even legally) since they have taken power. They keep the masses in the dark only to enrich themselves. The youth also still rebels against Apartheid, and they were not even a part of it! Now I know that these last few sentences is only my opinion (although they are all proven facts), and that it does not paint the full picture of our beautiful nation. During the Apartheid government, and I believe even more so post-Apartheid, black, white, brown and every other color of skin, has learned not only to share the same piece of earth, but also to love each other!

I asked the Lord what all of this mean, and this is what I feel Holy Spirit revealed to me thus far: 

During 2017 I want to align My people in My Wisdom. I want them to seek Wisdom and learn to love Wisdom. Seek Wisdom in every situation, especially the emotional ones! Learn to keep your mouths shut, and first come to Me for My Wisdom. No one charges into battle without Wisdom, for wars are won by skillful strategy. In 2017 I will align My church and then in 2018, after 70 years of bondage, I will pour out My Spirit on South Africa and a great harvest will come into My Kingdom. The fire will burn from the south and it will spread out north over the entire continent of Africa and even further. I will make a new covenant with My people. I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying "Know the Lord", for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will remember no more. I have accepted their offer as they cried out to Me and I will restore the spiritual order over South Africa according to My desires and plans. No longer will the plans of the people, even My church, be relevant before My eyes, as they have cried out for My plans and My will to be done. And this I shall do! The lie of the leviathan spirit will be fully exposed and My lovers will have the God-given authority and Wisdom to confront the snake head on and demolish it. The order of My Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy will be established in the land once again. Many people have crushed the poor in order to obtain riches. None of it went unnoticed by Me. I will release a spirit of regret over them that will leave a taste of gravel in their mouths. Even their words will be full of drought! So My invitation stands, as there still is time, come and align yourself and your household with My divine will and plan over your life. The spirit of Elijah is at hand as I am turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. As you align yourself with Me, you will see as I see and you will be witnesses as the Word becomes flesh once again...

A DREAM ABOUT A PEACH AND AN ALMOND BRANCH

I had a dream recently where the Lord showed me three things. I saw the name “Jeremiah” which I knew was representing the prophet Jeremiah. I then saw an almond branch and it was and followed soon after was a HUGE juicy, sweet, ripe peach. As I was waking the Lord began to speak to me.

“The word of the Lord came to me:

“What do you see, Jeremiah?” I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied. The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my Word is fulfilled.”

The Lord began speaking to me that this is the season of harvest and fruitfulness, that He is the Lord of the harvest and the breakthrough and fruitfulness is beginning to burst forth in the body of Christ.

Those dry, dead places are supernaturally beginning to blossom, the people of God are beginning to taste their breakthrough, the fruitfulness of the Word that the Lord released into their lives, and He has been watching over it to perform it.

The Lord spoke to me pay attention to the question the Lord asked Jeremiah in chapter 1:11-12.

The Lord said to Jeremiah: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”
*The Lord was highlighting to Jeremiah to ‘see with the eyes of the spirit’, to see the heavenly perspective. To SEE as HE sees!*

Instantly, the Lord takes me back to the dream of the PEACH and I see many were beginning to eat of their peaches. Fruitfulness, blessing, joy, peace, thankfulness, harvest and as they began to eat they were then surprised by the “hard stone” in the middle. *I saw many looking at this “hard thing” in the middle of their harvest, their breakthrough, their blessing, and they became discouraged by what was in the middle of their ‘peach’ and ‘breakthrough’.*

I saw many looking at this “hard stone” in the middle of the peach and they were asking “what in the world do I do with this? This hard thing in the middle of my breakthrough and blessing is “taking up room” in my breakthrough… if it wasn’t there, then I could eat this with ease and not have to learn to eat AROUND this hard thing.”

The Lord says to me “It’s about perception! It’s all about perception” the sense surrounds me then that they don’t perceive this “hard stone” to be what it REALLY is.

*They don’t perceive it as a SEED! They are perceiving it to be something “in the way of part of their harvest and fruitfulness and breakthrough”.*

He then spoke again “The very hardship that has arisen in the middle of this harvest season, *in the middle of the breakthrough, is the SEED for the next level of breakthrough, increase and fruitfulness.*

My people are beginning to eat the blessings the fruitfulness of My Word that I have been watching over to perform and IN this blessing and harvest is their seed for ANOTHER level of blessing, increase and fruitfulness.”

*God is calling His people up higher to have EYES TO SEE! He is shifting perspective.*
Many of you are standing
in the middle of your harvest, many of you are standing in the middle of the Word of the Lord beginning to blossom, the almond branches blossoming and the peaches beginning to be seen, yet as you are eating, biting into the peaches, you are finding yet “another hard thing”, “another challenge”, something else that you perceive is in the way of your breakthrough and being able to eat ALL He is giving you.

*The truth is, the hardship, the challenge, the hard stone you are wrestling with in the middle of your breakthrough, is the very SEED that the Lord wants you to know is the seed for the next level of breakthrough, increase, blessing and fruitfulness.*

The challenge you are facing in the middle of the blessings and harvest, isn’t taking away from your breakthrough. It isn’t taking away from your blessing. It isn’t taking away from your fruitfulness, it is actually the SEED for your next level of breakthrough, increase, blessing, fruitfulness and abundance.

He isn’t just setting you up for a “one time” breakthrough, He is setting you up to soar, to fly, and to live in a realm of momentum of breakthrough, fruitfulness and harvest.

What you are walking through is positioning you with greater seed for greater increase, harvest, fruitfulness and blessing.

Keep sowing your faith by agreeing with what He is saying!!

The KEY IS “What do YOU SEE?”

 He is taking you deeper in intimacy, to SEE AS HE SEES!

How are you perceiving the challenge you are facing?

With eyes that SEES the natural? or with eyes of the Spirit that SEES THE SEEDS?

Peaches, Peaches, Peaches are exploding EVERYWHERE!

Be patient, My beloved, for the coming of the LORD is at hand. Establish your hearts in Me and be faithful. The Kingdom is at hand, and will I not make preparation? I do not have My prophets simply as demonstrations of the miraculous; I have them for the purpose of communicating My message to My people. 

Never has it been more important that they hear Me. It is vital at this hour as the contact between an army and their commander. You dare not risk being cut off. You need direction as never before. You also need to know the position and strategy of the opponent. This is cumulative climax. Past battles will be like child's play by comparison. This is an all-out offensive I am about to launch. Gird up your loins. Gather up the supplies. Lay aside every hindrance. 

My Word will go forth as the sounding of the trumpet. I will be clear and distinct. It will not waver. Many will gear and be alerted; yes, those who live in the Spirit will hear; but the dead will go on about their work as deaf men. No sign will be given to them except the sign of My people being gathered out. The hard of heart, the callous in spirit will misinterpret and condemn. They will not see My hand, for it will be hidden from them. For if they knew the truth they would follow. But I will not allow this, for it is better that you be misunderstood than joined by those whose hearts are unchanged and unprepared. 

For My people are a people chosen by Me. See that you give no heed to the cries of scorn. Close your ears to all who would detain you. Cover your head and run as one who runs for his life. For truly not your life only but the lives of your children are at stake. Be as deaf to others as they are deaf to Me. 

Surely I am doing a work of righteousness, even in the earth. For I say to you, you are not of the world, even though you are in the world. I will wash your feet and cleanse you from the defilement of the way. I will fit you to walk in a path of holiness. I will put away false doctrine, and you shall hear Truth. You shall eat the good of the land. You shall flourish and be made fruitful. 

Because you have sought Me, I will bless you; I will stand in your midst. I will even joy over you with singing!

February Prophetic Word: Radical Adjustments & Reassignments Coming

On January 3, I had a major encounter in which the Lord spoke to me that over the next three weeks there would be some radical adjustments and changes coming for us all. God spoke to me that the last week of January would be a significant time for this to begin.

The heavenly adjustment department

There have been some changes in many people’s callings. New assignments were released from the heavenly adjustment department. This will be the start of some major realignments and reassignments coming over the next few months.
Many people have been experiencing serious levels of discouragement and warfare. I have been praying daily for a breakthrough about this for myself and for others.
On January 16, God spoke to me that my case in Heaven had been reviewed and an adjustment offer had been released. I have never heard this before and it took me by surprise. I also heard that this was happening to many people right now.

New offers being given

I was told by God that after reviewing my ministry, I was being offered a choice. I could continue in the current position that I occupy in the Kingdom of God, or I could take a special assignment that would produce more results in the Kingdom with regard to the upcoming revival.

For years I have been a “Courts of Heaven Reporter.” I have had to get up daily at 4:00 AM to journal and write out what I am hearing from God. But this changed last year when I was promoted to a “Courts of Heaven Prophet,” which comes with a lot of interaction in the heavenly realm and being part of counsel meetings similar to what is described in Zechariah 3. It also brings extreme levels of spiritual warfare.

Something changed for me again last month. I heard the Lord say, “I need you in the streets to raise up an army for Me.” I knew that if I took this new assignment, then the supernatural encounters that I have been having daily would reduce dramatically. I would still be a prophet, but my assignment and position would change. I knew that what appears to be a demotion on Earth is indeed a promotion in God’s eyes.

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.”
– 1 Peter 5:6 NIV

Jesus took a major demotion when He left His place of glory and came to Earth to save us all. He will promote the humble and the Lord is saying over and over right now that “due time is overdue.” There is a backlog of repayment and unanswered prayers coming to many people.

I was given a choice and the Lord said He would bless me either way. I chose the new assignment, which is actually an upgraded version of my original calling for prophetic evangelism. I have to admit that the morning after I decided to take the new assignment it felt really strange to me as things changed majorly. I was still hearing God, but I suddenly had limits to my heavenly interactions.

But when we make decisions that will help grow the Kingdom, we will be blessed.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.”
– Matthew 19:29 NIV

Safety and blessings

God has hidden many people away in prison like Joseph in Genesis 41. Joseph was released suddenly and repaid for all his pain and suffering. The prison was not a fun place to be, but it was a place of hope and safety to him as he waited for the fulfillment of the dreams God had given to him as a child (Genesis 37). God spoke to me that He is beginning to call forth the prisoners of hope.

“Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.”
– Zechariah 9:12 NLT

This is a time to press in to the Lord in prayer and get ready for your marching orders that will come starting in March. God is going to start releasing the prisoners of hope. He is going to bring new hope and use you to bring hope to people in need of His love.

So get your hopes up because you are going to be repaid double for all your trouble.

 

 

Strategic season of dreams

February will mark the release of strategic dreams from God. Watch for dreams and night visitations as higher-level revelation is going to start pouring out to you. In some cases, you might not remember these types of dreams or visitations. The reason for this is that God is going to reveal it to you in a way that will hide it from the enemy.


“During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.”
– Daniel 2:19–22 NIV

God is releasing wisdom and power and concealing strategies and revelation. This will help hide your promotion and plans from the enemy and bring you less warfare. Times and seasons are changing quickly so be aware that the way you currently do things might not work in the new season that is upon us now.

The Lord is releasing deep and hidden things over the next month. He is going to reveal the plans of the enemy against you and bring them into the light. Watch for a change in affiliations and locations to start unfolding.

Prophetic dream: pilots and season change

I had a prophetic dream last month and in this dream, I had been promoted and was working for an airport. I watched as jets were diverted into a remote area for landing due to construction. I was told that this was going to go on for the next several months. It looked very muddy, slippery and dangerous. I watched one plane that was full of pilots who had been through so much stress that when they landed they had all passed out and were asleep.

I went to the remote area where they were deplaning. I wanted to bring them water because I knew they were dehydrated. The water bins were all half empty and there was no fresh water for them. I found two bottles but by the time I found them they had all started getting transportation to the terminal. My new supervisor (an angel) told me not to worry about it. I was really concerned that these pilots needed water, but they were all moving quickly with a new purpose.

Then I talked to one of the pilots who looked like Tom Cruise. He told me that he has to really pay attention to the flight process now and he needed to plan ahead in order to avoid storms and things like this. My sense was that the season had changed and things were radically different now, so we can no longer go on “autopilot.”

This dream shows us that we are in a time of transition and uncertainty, but God is aware of our needs and He has us covered. The unconscious pilots represent leaders that are now coming out of a difficult time. They are waking up to a new calling and they will not be able to do things the way we have in the past.

Get ready for things to start happening much more quickly! Get ready for deeper dreams in February and for your marching orders to come starting in March.

The Wind of the Spirit That Brings an Anointing of Fresh Oil

First, I'd like to start out by sharing with you the details of what happened on a recent ministry trip to the city of Lagos, Nigeria, a nation I had never been to before. It was not an easy road for me to get there, as a matter of fact I was scheduled to be there the year prior only to be turned away at the border because my visa was not in order. To say the least it was very frustrating, but their relentless pursuit to have me back the following year willed me into trying again as I felt the Lord was in it, only this time I successfully and safely arrived. 

The start of the morning meeting was like any other meeting. Years ago the Lord told me, "Jeff, every time you come into a new nation, I want you to bring your Silver Trumpet and proclaim a season of the new," so I was prepared to do so. The name of the event was "MATA" Men Around The Anointing. As the worship ended I was called to the stage to minister and after the introductions I asked the band to remain with me. I told them it was January 13th, and the beginning of a new Gregorian calendar year, and that we were going to declare a "Season of the New, in the New year."

Three thousand people attended the morning session with anticipation. As the band played, I called the people forward to release a "Shout to God" that would touch the nation. The Lord said to, "Prepare for a Season of the Anointing of Fresh Oil" and that, "The Wind of the Holy Spirit was going blow through the room." 

As we shouted in the glory of God, I blew the trumpet and the Wind of the Holy Spirit came rushing into the building to the extent that everyone could feel it. In the natural, Nigeria is a massive oil-producing nation. As the Wind was moving, supernatural oil began to manifest on the hands of many peoples to the point of dripping...as a sign that a fresh anointing was being imparted and released. The Wind of the Spirit had brought an anointing of Fresh Oil that morning. 

Get Ready for the New

Something new is being poured out in this season from the Presence of the Lord. Just as Esther had to prepare herself before she was presented before the King, so we to must prepare ourselves.

Now when it was each young woman's turn to go before King Ahasuerus, after the end of her twelve months under the regulations for the women—for the days of their beautification were completed as follows: six months with oil of myrrh and six months with [sweet] spices and perfumes and the beauty preparations for women. (Esther 2:12) 

Esther and the young women soaked for six months in oil of myrrh and six months with sweet spices and oils of perfumes in beauty preparations before they were presented to the King. Oil softens the skin and brings it back to its original condition. 

Before David was anointed King of Israel by Samuel, he too was in a season of preparation. While keeping his fathers sheep in the hills, David learned to skillfully play the harp as he worshiped and sang songs to the Lord. His heart was being tuned and tenderized to carry the anointing that would soon be poured out upon his life. David also learned how to use the sling and stone with great accuracy as he was given charge in protecting his fathers sheep from the bear and the lion.

"Arise, Anoint Him, For He Is The One"

David had no idea what was about to come upon him. There was no selfish ambition of world domination or acclaim within him, but rather he was tender and sensitive to the Holy Spirit and his only aim was to be near the Lord. He was being prepared to carry this new anointing of fresh oil. 

The Lord said to Samuel, "How long will you grieve for Saul, when I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have chosen a king for Myself among his sons... (1 Samuel 16:1 AMP)

"You shall invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do [after that]; and you shall anoint for Me the one whom I designate." (1 Samuel 16:3 AMP)

Samuel told Jesse, "Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice." He also consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. (1 Samuel 16:5 AMP)

So it happened, when they had come, he looked at Eliab [the eldest son] and thought, "Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him." But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass before Samuel. But Samuel said, "The Lord has not chosen this one either." Next Jesse had Shammah pass by. And Samuel said, "The Lord has not chosen him either." Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, "The Lord has not chosen [any of] these." Then Samuel said to Jesse, "Are all your sons here?" Jesse replied, "There is still one left, the youngest; he is tending the sheep." Samuel said to Jesse, "Send word and bring him; because we will not sit down [to eat the sacrificial meal] until he comes here." (1 Samuel 16:6-11 AMP)

So Jesse sent word and brought him in. Now he had a ruddy complexion, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. The Lord said [to Samuel], "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."  Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah. (1 Samuel 16:12-13 AMP)

Developing a Heart of Intimacy That Will Draw the Favor of God

David wrote in Psalm 23:

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life)
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with fresh oil, My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever in the house and in the presence of the Lord.

 

You have anointed and refreshed my head with fresh oil; my cup overflows! David understood that the anointing of fresh oil is birthed out of intimacy with God in the secret place of Psalm 91:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust. For He will save you from the trap of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions (feathers) and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. (Psalm 91:1-4 AMP)

Because you have made the Lord, your refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil will come upon you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels in regard to you, to protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. (Psalm 91:9-11 AMP)

Because you have set your love on Me, therefore I will save you; I will set you [securely] on high, because you know My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never]. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. (Psalm 91:14-15 AMP)

Before he was known by men or had done anything of great significance, David had made the Lord his dwelling place and priority. He had a heart after God and was known by the Lord as a man after Gods own heart. Psalm 92 flows out of Psalm 91:

But my horn [my emblem of strength and power] You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil [for Your service]. (Psalm 92:10 AMP)

David's (Psalm 91:1) heart of intimacy with the Lord made room for him to be chosen and anointed by Samuel with the (Psalm 92:10) horn of oil.

After David received the "anointing of fresh oil" it says "from that time on, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David" and it was recognizable to all. This fresh anointing brought favor, blessing, recognition, power, revelation and insight by the Spirit of the Lord that set David apart from everyone else. 

The Spirit of the Lord left King Saul and an evil spirit came upon him. David was asked to play the harp for King Saul and when he did the anointing was so powerful that the evil spirit had to leave.

So it came about that whenever the [evil] spirit from God was on Saul, David took a harp and played it with his hand; so Saul would be refreshed and be well, and the evil spirit would leave him. (1 Samuel 16:23 AMP)

The anointing of Fresh Oil that was poured out upon David also killed the bear the lion and the Philistine champion Goliath of Gath, setting Israel free from its tormenters.

Stop Chasing Your Tail and Oil Your Shield

The Lord told me, "Jeff, tell My People to prepare for an anointing of Fresh Oil in this season." It doesn't matter where you are or what is happening in your life at the moment, resubmit yourself to God and devote your time, energy, focus and prayer into His presence and He will lift you up. The Holy Spirit wants to blow all over you in this season and manifest the Oil of Fresh Anointing in your life. 

It's time to stop chasing your tail and being tormented by the devil. Stand up and say ENOUGH! Speak to that mountain and decree a new season! The Lord wants us to apply the fresh oil of anointing to our faith walk and our prayer life. Bobby Conner recently gave me this Scripture as we were talking on the phone. 

"Rise up captains, oil your shields [for battle, for your enemy is at the gates]!" (Isaiah 21:5)

All too often we run out to battle and we forget to oil our shields. Oil on the shield deflects the darts of the enemy.

Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:16-17 AMP)

God wants us to pour the Oil of Fresh Anointing on the shield of faith in our lives so we can effectively extinguish all the flaming arrows and attacks of the evil one. 

Rise up, advance and take full possession of what is being offered to you in this season. The oil of intimacy is producing a new power for an anointing of fresh oil.
