The Wind of the Spirit That Brings an Anointing of Fresh Oil

First, I'd like to start out by sharing with you the details of what happened on a recent ministry trip to the city of Lagos, Nigeria, a nation I had never been to before. It was not an easy road for me to get there, as a matter of fact I was scheduled to be there the year prior only to be turned away at the border because my visa was not in order. To say the least it was very frustrating, but their relentless pursuit to have me back the following year willed me into trying again as I felt the Lord was in it, only this time I successfully and safely arrived. 

The start of the morning meeting was like any other meeting. Years ago the Lord told me, "Jeff, every time you come into a new nation, I want you to bring your Silver Trumpet and proclaim a season of the new," so I was prepared to do so. The name of the event was "MATA" Men Around The Anointing. As the worship ended I was called to the stage to minister and after the introductions I asked the band to remain with me. I told them it was January 13th, and the beginning of a new Gregorian calendar year, and that we were going to declare a "Season of the New, in the New year."

Three thousand people attended the morning session with anticipation. As the band played, I called the people forward to release a "Shout to God" that would touch the nation. The Lord said to, "Prepare for a Season of the Anointing of Fresh Oil" and that, "The Wind of the Holy Spirit was going blow through the room." 

As we shouted in the glory of God, I blew the trumpet and the Wind of the Holy Spirit came rushing into the building to the extent that everyone could feel it. In the natural, Nigeria is a massive oil-producing nation. As the Wind was moving, supernatural oil began to manifest on the hands of many peoples to the point of dripping...as a sign that a fresh anointing was being imparted and released. The Wind of the Spirit had brought an anointing of Fresh Oil that morning. 

Get Ready for the New

Something new is being poured out in this season from the Presence of the Lord. Just as Esther had to prepare herself before she was presented before the King, so we to must prepare ourselves.

Now when it was each young woman's turn to go before King Ahasuerus, after the end of her twelve months under the regulations for the women—for the days of their beautification were completed as follows: six months with oil of myrrh and six months with [sweet] spices and perfumes and the beauty preparations for women. (Esther 2:12) 

Esther and the young women soaked for six months in oil of myrrh and six months with sweet spices and oils of perfumes in beauty preparations before they were presented to the King. Oil softens the skin and brings it back to its original condition. 

Before David was anointed King of Israel by Samuel, he too was in a season of preparation. While keeping his fathers sheep in the hills, David learned to skillfully play the harp as he worshiped and sang songs to the Lord. His heart was being tuned and tenderized to carry the anointing that would soon be poured out upon his life. David also learned how to use the sling and stone with great accuracy as he was given charge in protecting his fathers sheep from the bear and the lion.

"Arise, Anoint Him, For He Is The One"

David had no idea what was about to come upon him. There was no selfish ambition of world domination or acclaim within him, but rather he was tender and sensitive to the Holy Spirit and his only aim was to be near the Lord. He was being prepared to carry this new anointing of fresh oil. 

The Lord said to Samuel, "How long will you grieve for Saul, when I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have chosen a king for Myself among his sons... (1 Samuel 16:1 AMP)

"You shall invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do [after that]; and you shall anoint for Me the one whom I designate." (1 Samuel 16:3 AMP)

Samuel told Jesse, "Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice." He also consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. (1 Samuel 16:5 AMP)

So it happened, when they had come, he looked at Eliab [the eldest son] and thought, "Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him." But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass before Samuel. But Samuel said, "The Lord has not chosen this one either." Next Jesse had Shammah pass by. And Samuel said, "The Lord has not chosen him either." Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, "The Lord has not chosen [any of] these." Then Samuel said to Jesse, "Are all your sons here?" Jesse replied, "There is still one left, the youngest; he is tending the sheep." Samuel said to Jesse, "Send word and bring him; because we will not sit down [to eat the sacrificial meal] until he comes here." (1 Samuel 16:6-11 AMP)

So Jesse sent word and brought him in. Now he had a ruddy complexion, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. The Lord said [to Samuel], "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."  Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah. (1 Samuel 16:12-13 AMP)

Developing a Heart of Intimacy That Will Draw the Favor of God

David wrote in Psalm 23:

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life)
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with fresh oil, My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever in the house and in the presence of the Lord.

 

You have anointed and refreshed my head with fresh oil; my cup overflows! David understood that the anointing of fresh oil is birthed out of intimacy with God in the secret place of Psalm 91:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust. For He will save you from the trap of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions (feathers) and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. (Psalm 91:1-4 AMP)

Because you have made the Lord, your refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil will come upon you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels in regard to you, to protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. (Psalm 91:9-11 AMP)

Because you have set your love on Me, therefore I will save you; I will set you [securely] on high, because you know My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never]. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. (Psalm 91:14-15 AMP)

Before he was known by men or had done anything of great significance, David had made the Lord his dwelling place and priority. He had a heart after God and was known by the Lord as a man after Gods own heart. Psalm 92 flows out of Psalm 91:

But my horn [my emblem of strength and power] You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil [for Your service]. (Psalm 92:10 AMP)

David's (Psalm 91:1) heart of intimacy with the Lord made room for him to be chosen and anointed by Samuel with the (Psalm 92:10) horn of oil.

After David received the "anointing of fresh oil" it says "from that time on, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David" and it was recognizable to all. This fresh anointing brought favor, blessing, recognition, power, revelation and insight by the Spirit of the Lord that set David apart from everyone else. 

The Spirit of the Lord left King Saul and an evil spirit came upon him. David was asked to play the harp for King Saul and when he did the anointing was so powerful that the evil spirit had to leave.

So it came about that whenever the [evil] spirit from God was on Saul, David took a harp and played it with his hand; so Saul would be refreshed and be well, and the evil spirit would leave him. (1 Samuel 16:23 AMP)

The anointing of Fresh Oil that was poured out upon David also killed the bear the lion and the Philistine champion Goliath of Gath, setting Israel free from its tormenters.

Stop Chasing Your Tail and Oil Your Shield

The Lord told me, "Jeff, tell My People to prepare for an anointing of Fresh Oil in this season." It doesn't matter where you are or what is happening in your life at the moment, resubmit yourself to God and devote your time, energy, focus and prayer into His presence and He will lift you up. The Holy Spirit wants to blow all over you in this season and manifest the Oil of Fresh Anointing in your life. 

It's time to stop chasing your tail and being tormented by the devil. Stand up and say ENOUGH! Speak to that mountain and decree a new season! The Lord wants us to apply the fresh oil of anointing to our faith walk and our prayer life. Bobby Conner recently gave me this Scripture as we were talking on the phone. 

"Rise up captains, oil your shields [for battle, for your enemy is at the gates]!" (Isaiah 21:5)

All too often we run out to battle and we forget to oil our shields. Oil on the shield deflects the darts of the enemy.

Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:16-17 AMP)

God wants us to pour the Oil of Fresh Anointing on the shield of faith in our lives so we can effectively extinguish all the flaming arrows and attacks of the evil one. 

Rise up, advance and take full possession of what is being offered to you in this season. The oil of intimacy is producing a new power for an anointing of fresh oil.

You are now entering into the new season of 2017.

Small Straws (12/27/16):  This is the beginning a new trend of identification.  You will develop your personal identity with greater precision and express yourself more completely apart from outside influences.  The result will be that you will know who you really are; who you are in Me and who I am in you, says the Lord.  This will be a dynamic revelation that will carry you into a new era.
Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

2017 is a year in which we will walk on God's path of life, and as we do, so we will have breakthrough and be free from hindrances.

Psalm 16:11  You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Proverbs 3:6   In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Small Straws (12/16/16):  I have opened a path before you that will enable you to maneuver through hindrances and difficulties that you have endured for quite some time. You will be able to experience a new level of freedom that has been almost impossible to attain. You cannot do this on your own, but with My help and guidance you will now be able to move on, says the Lord. Prepare for breakthrough.
Psalms 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

The path of life will become a trail through time that will reveal those things that you need to know in this season.

John 16:13  "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

The breakthrough that will take place in this season will not only break the hindrances that you have endured; it will also increase your spiritual ability.  This breakthrough will especially cause your discernment to become more acute.

The Trumpet
 (12/31/16):  You will experience a greater measure of clarity than you have ever known. I will begin to reveal to you the hidden mysteries that have been saved for this time. I have some things to teach you and to show you. Get ready, for My work is about to be demonstrated in you. Watch! Learn! Listen! Obey! For, you shall be well pleased with the demonstration of My power that will flow into your life like a wind that is blowing through the tops of the trees, says the Lord.

Isaiah 43:18-19  "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

God's road (His path) will make a way through the wilderness of your lives, and He will provide the rivers (anointings) that will bring you out of the desert (dry times) of the past.  The old bondages of the past can now be broken.

Psalm 27:11  Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.

The breakthroughs that take place in this season will bring God's people into a place of liberty.  Oppression will be far from God's people.  However, you must stand in this position of freedom.

Galatians 5:1  Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Ephesians 6:
13  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

A Year of Divine Order

We, here at Faith Tabernacle, finished 30 years of ministry on the Feast of Trumpets (2016).  Thirty (3 x 10) denotes in a higher degree the perfection of divine order, as marking the right moment in time.  Jesus was 30 years of age at the beginning of His ministry (Luke 3:23).

We are now entering the fifth year of the establishment of divine order over this generation of believers.  On January 8, 2012:  "It has been spoken that 2012 would be the year that God would begin to establish His divine government among His people."

The 2012 message was also released on January 8 (same as this year) instead of January 1 because Christmas fell on the last Sunday of the year.

Five years-five is God's number for grace, which is His power upon us.

Ephesians 1:19   and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

Romans 5:1-2  Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Therefore, the amplification of God's grace (power) will magnify His rule over His people, which will prepare us for breakthrough (victory) in every aspect of your lives.

The manifestation of divine order (God's rule) will be progressive and become complete when Christ returns to set up His kingdom here on earth.

Revelation 11:15-17  Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"  And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God,  saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

The Blessings Will Come

If you choose to allow God to lead us into and through this season, you will be blessed beyond measure.

Romans 8:
14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17  and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
18  For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
21  because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Ephesians 3:20   Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us...

The Trumpet (January 1st):  Come and connect with Me, so we can go on this journey together. For, I will lead and guide you. I will bring prosperity and healing into your life. Be one with Me. You can be stronger spiritually this year than you have ever been before. You can fight the good fight of faith in a renewed way. You will be able to defeat the enemy as you go in My power and by the faith that I am energizing within you. Learn to live in My presence so that great joy and great faith will become that which you will manifest in the season that is before you, says the Lord.

The Trumpet
(12/26/16):  Come to Me and receive the blessings that I am pouring out in this season. These are indeed the days of overflowing blessings. It is My great desire to reveal to you the things that are taking place in My Kingdom, and the things that are taking place in your circumstances. I want to bring revelation so that you can deal with those things and gain the victory, says the Lord.

In this season you will find ourselves positioned to receive God's favor and, thus, His blessings.  If you position ourselves by faith and choose to walk on God's path, in His ways, then you can expect to receive His blessings and advance in your kingdom positions.

This will become a season of abundant blessings.

Psalm 132:13-15  For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place:  "This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.  I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread."

Deuteronomy 28:2  "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God."

All of these blessings-provision, healing, deliverance, and wisdom will come to those who walk with God on His path.

Psalm 65:11  You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.

Advancement Will Take Place
 as you leave the past behind and reach forward to those things, which are ahead.

Philippians 3:12-14  Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things, which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

This is a year of great potential.  It is a time in which you can advance spiritually in the Kingdom of God!

Proverbs 4:18  But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

God's Mountain

The Lord has designed this time as a season in which He is calling His people to come higher.  His grace will be sufficient for our empowerment.  We are a people who are living in the end of times (latter days).  Come and let us now go up to the mountain of the Lord's House so He can teach us His ways.

Micah 4:1-2   Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD'S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it.  Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

God's Path Leads to Victory

As we walk with God on the path the He has prepared for you, victory will come.

1 Corinthians 15:57  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The requirement to have this victory is found in:

1 John 5:4   For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.

Have you been wounded by or bruised by the enemy?  Do you have a hard time believing that you will have victory in your circumstances?  Then, you must listen to the promise that you have from the Lord.

Matthew 12:20-21  A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory; and in His name Gentiles will trust.

You must re-establish your trust in the Lord.  If you do, then you can expect to have victory in 2017.

The Divine Pattern

The divine pattern of God revealed in His Word clearly shows us that those who walk with God will be blessed.
Genesis 5:22 says that Enoch walked with God.
Genesis 6:9 tells us that Noah Walked with God.
Genesis 48:15 reveals that Abraham and Isaac walked with God.
1 Kings 3:14 and 9:4-7 show us that David walked before God.

These scriptures reveal a divine pattern that is established when God's people walk with God on the path that He has prepared for them.  God's way into the blessings of 2017 has been revealed, so if you want to receive His blessings, all you have to do is to go with God on this journey into this season!

Conclusion

The body of Christ is about to receive God's abundant blessings.  The prophetic word of God has declared and, thus, established His plan for this season.

You are being given tremendous opportunity in this season.  Your spiritual potential is now being expanded because of the glory of God that is covering this season.

Isaiah 40:5  The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

My Prayer

My prayer for this season is that each of you will receive God's blessings as you are led by the Holy Spirit into the fullness of God's purposes for such a time as this.  Amen.
