Dove Testimony

 6 June 2012

The kids at an aftercare centre at a primary school in Danville, Pretoria found a pigeon that was very sick. It just sat there in a box. It made no attempt what so ever to try and defend itself or to escape. It couldn’t even eat or drink water. Later the afternoon, nothing changed. All the kids’ wanting to touch the pigeon scared it even more. Some even did it on purpose. I managed to get them to sit in a circle around the dove and not try and scare it to death. What a challenge! Then I challenged them to start praying for the pigeon. After they repeatedly prayed the Lord’s Prayer, nothing happened. I prayed and nothing happened. Some kids even took the challenge of asking Jesus to heal the bird (something they are shy to do! They only know the rhyme prayers.). After a couple of minutes (felt like a hour!) of prayer, there was movement from the pigeon. We made the circle around the box bigger with an opening wide enough for it to escape. The pigeon saw this gap and jumped out of the box running to the nearest piece of bread that laid a few meters away. It ate and then walked off. Still couldn’t fly. The kids prayed some more and their prayers turned into cheering the bird to fly away. And surely a bit later, the pigeon was gone!

Our awesome God heals even pigeons! Thank You Jesus!

Testimony on God’s work in 2012 in my life till end May 2012

Testimony on God’s work in 2012 in my life till end May 2012

Here is an update and testimony on what’s happening these days in my life. During 2011 I worked for an organization called The Potato Foundation (www.thepotatofoundation.co.za). What a blessing this was! I’ve never in my life been as busy as I was during last year. There were just too many awesome testimonies and too little time to document them all. Something I wish I did! But with the Lords Grace new testimonies will come and I will do my best to document them all! That’s the reason I started to blog this year. I am not exactly sure what blog is and how it works, but I will learn as I go. (http://dejagermw.blogspot.com/)

2012 up to date is a very interesting year. The Lord released me from just about everywhere I’ve been busy with in 2011. I went from extremely busy to sitting at home within a very, very short period of time. I believe God is preparing me for something big! A glimpse of that picture to follow a bit later. However everyone needs to work and this is what can be my income for the time to come:

For The Potato Foundation I currently go and see companies to support them with their BBBEE status. In short, the company gives money to charity, the charity provides the necessary documentation, and the company has achieved the necessary BBBEE status and sits with a tax-deductable certificate and good conscious for helping the new upcoming generation! It’s a win-win situation!

My dad and I have been in the restaurant industry for many years and stock taking has always been a problem. You count the stock, and then have to manually enter it into the system. There are numerous opportunities for errors to creep in, and they do! Thus my dad wrote a program that will assist this entire process. Stock is taken with two persons and a laptop and directly fed into our system which is synced with the current system. Stock is taken with a scale and the system then calculates the stock at hand. This saves countless time and reduces margins for error drastically! We have tested the system and it works very well! Even huge corporate companies that have got nothing to do with restaurants have shown interest in the program!

Then an opportunity came across my path to “start my own business”. We import cashew nuts from Mozambique, cranberries and European pumpkin seeds from America and SA’s export quality raisins. These four top quality products you cannot get in any retail store. We prayed and God showed us to keep away from the retailers. Thus our products, Casa de Caju (Home of the Cashew) you can only get through me and few other distributors. Every order is freshly packed! We use a direct marketing strategy and word of mouth plays a huge part. The products contain various health benefits and contain something found in every food group. Prices are also very competitive. The idea of the business is to give back to where it is due, the farmers. The people doing all the hard ground work. I know that this opportunity is send from God!

This is the businesses I believe will be able to provide me with sufficient funds to live and also have time to be loose for whatever ministry task God will bring my way. And this is the main reason for this letter!

When I sat in the meeting and got introduced to Casa de Caju, I felt the Spirit of God very strongly in me. This was awesome for me and serves as a confirmation that God wants me in this business. Other opportunities are also knocking at my door! I am invited to join a team from Living Word East on an outreach to Malawi. We will be driving there stopping over at various places to visit other missionaries. This trip has been on my mind for a while now and I am very excited to be part of the team! Then there is an opportunity to go to Hong Kong and meet with the underground church. I was told to have a look at their website and felt the Spirit again inside of me. Almost the same as with the nuts! All this is happening directly after each other.

So in short my calendar looks like this:
  • It is MIA2012 (www.mia2012.co.za) from 25 – 6 July 2012
  • Malawi outreach from 7 July till twenty something July
  • Apostolic Prophetic Conference with Rick Joyner, Angus Buchan, Danie Slabbert and various others in Pretoria (Lewende Woord). 25 – 28 July 2012
  • Hong Kong from 30 July – 5 August 2012.
  • David Hogan in Pretoria 10 – 12 August 2012 (Aflame Ministries)

Please pray with me for Gods guidance, wisdom and provision in all of this. There is much that needs to happen and should God choose to send me on these missions I would really love to go! The cost is enormous for me, but in Gods Kingdom it is small change! For the Malawi trip an estimate R15 000 is needed. This includes everything from the compulsory injections up front, till I’m back here in Pretoria. The Hong Kong trip will also amount to more or less R15 000 depending who still wants to come with. If there is other men that would like to join me and share a hotel room it will lower the cost drastically! The sooner I book my air ticket, the cheaper. The conference is for free but I am planning to donate every little bit of extra money I have left to the underground church in China.

Up to date I have no funds available but my trust is in God! Please partner with me on these journeys for I cannot do this on my own. So however the Lord leads you, in prayer, physically, financially or whichever way the Spirit leads you, there is opportunity for you to share in the testimonies to come!

Jesus vs Religion

Religion will kill the Jesus inside of you. It is the only devil that succeeded to kill Jesus. (Jesus gave His life. The devil did not take it!) And today the religious devil kills Jesus not because of God's lack of power, but because of our human ability to take the most simple message, the Gospel of a personal relationship with a living Jesus, and make it too complex. It is not that difficult to be born again! John 1:12; Rom 8:14. People need Jesus! Nothing more, nothing less!
